Powered by Amazon's state-of-the-art online retail technology, music.for.causes is a not-for-profit project that brings you the latest music releases on CD, DVD and MP3 download, with up to 5% of every purchase going to a charity of your choice.
How it works
Visit our site regularly to discover the latest music releases on all formats.
Click the logo in the top-right to see a list of the charities we support and to choose your favourite; or you can have the funds you raise split evenly among all our charities.
If you see something that takes your fancy, you can add it to your basket right away, or follow the link to Amazon to view more information and continue your shopping there.
When you click the basket Checkout link, you will be taken to Amazon's payment server, where you will need to create a user account or log in to an existing one.
Before completing your payment, you may wish to browse the other departments on Amazon's website and consider other purchases, from which your charity can also benefit.
Once your goods are dispatched the commission is confirmed, and paid to us several weeks later. Every so often we tally everything up and distribute the profits to your chosen charities.
Is it safe & secure?
When you make a purchase you will do so via Amazon's own fully accredited and secured payment servers. With such a highly-regarded retail partner as Amazon you can use this site with absolute confidence. We do not capture any credit card details or other sensitive information.
I made a purchase, how much did I raise?
At least 5% of the purchase price will go to the charity you have chosen.
Since we do not collect any personal information or process the actual payment, we cannot tell how much you have raised individually on the website. However during the pilot if you want reassurance that your purchase qualified for a donation, simply get in touch with some details, like purchase price or dispatch date, and we can verify which charity is allocated the funds.
Suffice to say that we are incredibly grateful for every bit of support you give. As time permits one of the first enhancements we have planned is to calculate and publish the amounts raised for each charity.

We have tried to keep the list simple by choosing some of the most popular charities, but you can support any charity or, if you represent one, you can be added to our website. Click here to suggest a charity.
Who's running the show?
music.for.causes is part of a voluntary pilot project put together by Infinity Software with help from family and friends. We hope to run the pilot for 6 months. If it is a success, we will set up a not-for-profit Community Interest Company to continue operating this and other fundraising websites. Either way, every penny of profit from the pilot will be donated to the charities you have chosen. But we'd really like to keep it going and continue raising money for charities for years to come, which we can only do with your support in making the pilot a success.
